✨ Workshop: Web Scraping with Generative AI and Python: Hands-on Practice and Experience Sharing ✨

Hello! Following the popular web scraping seminar presented by Joeun, we're excited to announce a hands-on workshop on the same topic.

  • Date and Time: September 21, 2024, 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM KST
  • Location: Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, 3rd Floor, 211 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (Venue sponsored by Wishket)
  • Note for Participants: Please be aware that there will be a cat 🐈 present at the workshop venue. If you have cat allergies or are uncomfortable around cats, we kindly ask you to take this into consideration when deciding to attend.
  • What to Bring:
  • A laptop with Python installed (Google Colab is also an option if you don't have Python)
  • Accounts for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar AI tools
  • Ideas for websites you'd like to scrape
  • Participants: Limited to 30 people (first-come, first-served)

  • Web scraping practice: Collecting data from news sites, e-commerce sites, etc.
  • Example: Collecting titles, dates, and content from specific news articles and summarizing using AI
  • Example: Gathering product names, prices, and ratings from e-commerce sites and building an SQLite database
